In close collaboration with the Spanish ePOS system manufacturer ServiBikes and Campudus, a pilot project was set up to support Veloconnect version 1.4 from the outset.

ORBEA faced several challenges in improving communication and data exchange with its retailers, including Digital Order Processing, simplifying the exchange of digital documents such as invoices and delivery notes via Veloconnect. Dealer Stock Retrieval, enabling faster responses to market situations and utilizing dealer availability globally. And International Expansion extending the use of Veloconnect beyond Spain to support multinational and multilingual operations.

In collaboration with Campudus and ServiBikes, ORBEA adapted its ERP system to the requirements of Veloconnect version 1.4 and connected it with the Campudus Veloconnect Server. In parallel their ePOS-partner ServiBikes upgraded and adapted the mandatory counterpart of Veloconnect Server in their ePOS system. This effectively addressed all challenges and enabled a fast-tracking, test-approved implementation.
Version Upgrades: Successful implementation of Veloconnect versions 1.3 and 1.4, utilizing the additional module from Campudus for retrieving dealer availability and inventory levels.
Integration with ServiBikes: To promote the use of Veloconnect throughout Spain, ORBEA engaged the Spanish ePOS provider ServiBikes, which also integrated the interface standard into its system. The ORBEA flagship store in Barcelona was specifically used for the pilot phase, allowing all involved parties to adapt and test all functions in the test operation.
Support for Multiple Countries and Languages: With access to the ORBEA Veloconnect Server, not only Spanish dealers but all dealers worldwide can benefit from simplified communication and order processing with ORBEA. The multi-country and multi-language function of the Campudus Veloconnect Server plays a crucial role here, as it allows the use of the interface standard with different languages and currencies.
The implementation of the Veloconnect Server by Campudus has yielded several positive results for ORBEA, including: Improved communication: Simplification of communication and data exchange with retailers, leading to more efficient and effective business processes.
Utilization of dealer availability for better service: Products available in dealers' stock or in-store can be displayed on the global ORBEA website. This allows the end consumer to find out which dealer near them has the desired bike available.
Granting access for international dealers : Worldwide dealers who already use Veloconnect within their ePOS systems can now connect directly to ORBEA and purchase goods through their ePOS system and share their stock data. In the UK a partnership with CitrusLime and in the Netherlands with CycleSoftware allowed to push those benefits in these markets too.
