The use of the Veloconnect standard for digital data exchange with dealers was previously very limited for configuration brands such as VELO DE VILLE. With the previous Veloconnect versions, only basic information such as item name, EAN and price could be transmitted. Detailed specifications for individually configured bicycles were left out. Veloconnect 1.5 closes this gap and enables the complete transfer of all relevant product attributes for the first time. The prerequisite for this is the provision of data in an industry standard such as BIDEX, DST or DDS.
Time-consuming formatting
Converting product data into one of the standardized formats is extremely time-consuming and resource-intensive.
Redundant processes
With configuration brands, this effort increases exponentially, as the formatting has to be repeated for each individually configured bike and requires additional work steps.
Complete automation with MUSTARD 1.0
The powerful multi-standard tool MUSTARD 1.0 relieves product managers of this time-consuming manual process by fully automating the conversion of product data. MUSTARD 1.0 has an internal data schema that combines the categories, product groups and specific attributes of various industry standards (currently BIDEX and DST) in a uniform format. The tool maps the manufacturer data to this central schema and automates the export in the respective industry formats. The data can then be made available to all retailers with a Veloconnect connection (version 1.5) in various formats such as XML or JSON directly in their merchandise management system.
1. Connecting existing systems
Even before the introduction of MUSTARD 1.0, VELO DE VILLE was already using a Veloconnect server from Campudus, which is directly connected to the ERP system. Thanks to an existing standard interface between MUSTARD 1.0 and the Veloconnect server, the tool could be integrated seamlessly.
2. Automatic data mapping
MUSTARD 1.0 imports all relevant product data from the ERP and assigns it to the central data schema, which contains the categories and attributes of the BIDEX standard.
3. Simple data provision
MUSTARD 1.0 generates a link that automatically exports the data from the tool in BIDEX format. This link is transmitted directly to the retailer's ERP system via VELO DE VILLE's Veloconnect server.
Time and cost savings
All relevant data is automatically converted into BIDEX format using the MUSTARD tool.
Always up to date
The data is delivered directly from the ERP to MUSTARD 1.0 and is therefore always up to date.
Flexible data distribution
Integration into the Veloconnect setup means that the link with the product data can be made available to all industry participants with a Veloconnect interface.
Future-proof solution
MUSTARD 1.0 always offers the latest BIDEX version. The tool also supports DST, so that data can also be exported in the DST standard without additional effort if required.
With the multi-standard tool, VELO DE VILLE is able to provide its dealers with complete BIDEX data with all the specifications of the pre-configured models — without any manual effort.
